Portland 2018, Wed-Sat, September 19-22 launched a new season of prayer, worship, evangelism and discipleship in the Portland/Vancouver metro area. Leading up to this event we called the body of Christ to rise up in intercession for our city, the surrounding areas, and the beautiful people of the Pacific NW. We believe that prayer will create an atmosphere for change, as we agree with the Lord's plans for our geographical area and for the lives of those who dwell here.

Our Prayer Strategy
Praying the Scriptures in preparation for Portland 2018:
This was our prayer strategy leading up to, and beyond Compassion to Action - Portland 2018:
- Matthew 9:37-38 Pray that the Lord would raise up believers with a heart to reach out to those who do not yet know Jesus, that positive relationships would be formed and the lives of Christians would be influential in our city!
- John 6:44 Pray that the Father would draw those who do not yet know Him!
- 2 Corinthians 4:4 Pray that the spirit that blinds the mind of the unbeliever would be bound, so that all could see the light of the Gospel and the glory of Jesus!
- Romans 8:15 Pray for a release and reception of the Spirit of adoption & sonship to replace fear, legalism and abandonment!
- Ephesians 1:17 Pray for a release of the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ, that we would know the hope of His calling, the glorious riches that are in Christ - the abundance of grace, peace & joy, even in the midst of trails!
- Acts 4:29-31 Pray for an impartation of boldness in believers and that the Word would be accompanied by a release of healing, signs and wonders!
- 2 Thessalonians 3:1-5 Pray that the influence and effectiveness of God's Word would be release in power in our city!
This was our prayer strategy leading up to, and beyond Compassion to Action - Portland 2018:
- Weekly Prayerwalking on Tuesdays throughout June, July, August & September. We used the Prayer Atlas App to log prayerwalks (or prayerdrives), see the Portland 2018 group & then the Prayerwalking The City event (May 9, 2018-Sept 19, 2018). You will see where others have prayed. You can also make a Journal Entry about your prayerwalk.
- Daily Prayerwalking & Prayerdriving in groups led by Gene Short with Light the Way Ministries at 10am on Tuesdays-Fridays at Lord's Harvest Church (16560 SE McLoughlin Blvd, Portland, OR 97267) at 10am on Saturdays at Pioneer Courthouse Square (in downtown Portland and then at 7pm at various church locations throughout our region.
- Monthly Prayer & Worship to gather churches and individuals to pray for our region at 6pm on the 3rd Saturday of the month.
